Fine Art Carved in Solid Wood

This is not applied ornament or machine-routed decoration. Every feather, cloud, wave, mountain, and ray of sunlight is sculpted deeply into the solid wood by a master carver.

As natural light moves across the door, shadows gather beneath the wings and clouds while the polished high points come alive, giving the composition remarkable depth and movement.

The interior face remains restrained and traditional, revealing the natural grain, solid construction, and lasting strength behind the artwork.

Hand-Forged Ironwork

The handle, escutcheon, hinges, and traditional latch were created as part of the complete design. Each component is individually forged by ArtFactory master blacksmiths using fire, hammer, and anvil.

The flowing iron scrolls echo the carved feathers, clouds, and waves, joining the woodcarving and metalwork into one unified work of art.

Built to Endure for Generations

Behind the carving is the uncompromising construction of an H.J. Nick Original. The door is built from substantial solid timbers with traditional mortise-and-tenon joinery, carefully fitted by experienced American craftsmen.

There are no hollow cores, thin veneers, stamped decorations, or disposable construction methods. The finish is developed in the wood through multiple hand-applied and hand-rubbed stages that enrich the grain and bring out the depth of the carving.

From the original drawing and timber selection to carving, blacksmithing, joinery, finishing, and final inspection, every stage is completed by ArtFactory’s masters and apprentices.
