A Grand Entrance Worth Building a Home Around – GD5600

Custom Glass • Hand-Forged Wrought Iron
• Designed and Signed by H.J. Nick

All of our custom doors are built with the highest quality materials available anywhere. This includes genuine, solid, full length timber that has been naturally cured in the Scottsdale, Arizona desert air, and hand hewn mortise and tenon construction. Handmade in the USA by skilled master craftsmen, and guaranteed to last forever with little or no maintenance.

A remarkable home begins with an entrance that tells its story. This monumental arched door brings together the warmth of natural wood, the strength of substantial construction, and the beauty of custom decorative glass — an architectural centerpiece with a presence all its own.

Its sweeping arch frames rows of circular glass rondels, each catching and bending light across the entrance. The glass gives the door its distinctive character, balanced by richly textured solid timber natural air cured wood, substantial framing, and a deeply defined lower panel. At nine feet tall, four feet wide, and four inches thick, its beauty carries real depth and substance.

The architectural rendering imagines a luxury residence designed around this entrance. Natural limestone, a sculpted stone arch, and warm lantern light draw the eye toward the door, allowing its proportions and craftsmanship to establish the character of the home.

A Family Tradition Since 1913

At ArtFactory.com, this work carries forward a family craftsmanship tradition dating to 1913. Under the direction of master builder, architectural designer, and artist H.J. Nick, American craftsmen in Phoenix/Scottsdale, Arizona, bring generations of knowledge to custom doors, furniture, and architectural works of art.

That tradition lives in the work itself: carefully selected natural materials, traditional mortise-and-tenon joinery, hand-fitted details, and hand-rubbed finishes that reveal the character of the wood. These are patient methods, requiring skilled hands and an understanding of how an entrance must look, feel, and perform through years of daily use.

Don't just buy a door when you can own a custom grand entrance that has that "WOW factor" that you have been looking for, and will properly represent your personality and accomplishment to every guest who arrives at your home or business.

Hand-Forged Ironwork Completes the Fine Artistry of This Door

The custom hardware is crafted from genuine wrought iron, heated in the forge and shaped by the hands of our own master blacksmiths. Every curve, contour, and hand-worked detail complements the rich natural wood and custom glass.

This ironwork completes the fine artistry of the door, bringing these enduring materials together into one architectural work of art. From the wood joinery to the glass and forged hardware, each element contributes to the beauty and function of the finished entrance.

The Signature Behind the Craftsmanship

The H.J. Nick signature on this door represents the artist’s personal commitment to its design and workmanship. It connects the finished entrance to the people, skills, and standards behind its creation.

Built for daily life and generations of appreciation, this is an entrance intended to become part of a family’s history — a lasting expression of the home and the people who live within it.
