Custom Handcrafted Cypress & Wrought Iron Door

The doors shown here are actual handcrafted ArtFactory.com doors, photographed to document their materials, design, and craftsmanship. The architectural rendering places these existing doors into a proposed home, showing how an entrance can inspire the architecture around it.

Designed by H. J. Nick, the double entrance and matching single door combine four-inch-thick solid cypress with solid hand-forged wrought iron. Natural wood grain, substantial construction, flowing iron scrolls, and individually shaped leaves give these doors their distinctive character.

Our master craftsmen build the cypress doors with traditional mortise-and-tenon joinery. A hand-applied finish reveals the warmth and depth of the wood. Our master blacksmiths shape the wrought iron with hammer, fire, and anvil, then apply a natural patina finish that brings out the character of the forged metal.

In this home concept, natural stone, heavy timber beams, and clay tile roofing complement the doors. This is one of many architectural possibilities. We custom design and build for country estates, mountain retreats, coastal residences, city homes, and contemporary architecture around the world.

We can handcraft the lighting as well. Wall lanterns, hanging entrance lanterns, and coordinating interior fixtures can be custom made to complement your doors. Matching materials, proportions, and patina finishes create a complete architectural composition under the artistic direction of H. J. Nick.

Handcrafted by our master craftsmen in Scottsdale, Arizona, these doors are original architectural art made for everyday use and lasting enjoyment.
