Your options are limited only by your imagination when designing a custom entrance with our talented engineers.

At ArtFactory.com we specialize in making one-of-a-kind, custom, fine are quality entrance doors that are built to stand the test of time. This custom etched glass door is built from solid, old growth timber and thick, tempered glass is a prime example of what our craftsman can accomplish when you are looking to create an entrance that is truly special. Inspired by the American Arts and Crafts movement, this entrance includes artistic elements from nature, that were a trademark of Craftsman design, and essential to the styles that were made popular during this period of history. The entrance design includes a two-third light etched glass panel, and a bottom wood panel that features a river scene, carved by one of our master wood carvers. The forest scene etched into the glass features grazing elk, and extends onto both the sidelight and transom windows. The river scene at the bottom, of a bass jumping out of the water extends onto the accent wood panels that are below the sidelights. a custom transom, sidelights, and accent wood panels. This type of fluid design, including the door blade, sidelight and transom windows, makes the difference between fine art, and ordinary entrance doors. That is why our master carvers painstakingly create elements like scales on the fish, and leaves, individually, by hand, so that no two are alike, just as would be seen in nature. The unique, entrance features dual, two-third light sidelights, that are built into the pre-hung structure, and each side has a carved accent wood panel below the glass. The door features a 2 panel design, with the upper panel being etched glass, and the lower panel carved solid wood. As is the case with all of our doors that incorporate the use of glass, the door glass, transom and sidelights are custom engineered to let in just the right amount of light. We also have dozens of glass styles to choose from, including a wide variety of decorative and textured glass choices, and even genuine hand cut stain glass upon request. As pictured, the custom etched glass door has been built with a flat top, but like all of our custom door and gate designs, it can also be built with a full or semi arched top. Furthermore, any of our designs can be built as double doors, for interior or exterior, and residential or commercial use.

We believe in building furniture and doors that are not something that you just use for a few years and then throw away. Building items that are disposable is a practice that is unique to the past fifty years. In the old world, when a piece of furniture was built, it was built from solid, natural materials by master craftsmen. Most importantly, it was built to last forever. Something like a solid wood entrance door would be passed down through a family for generations along with the home that was also built to last forever. With this custom etched glass door, handcrafted from solid, full length timber, we have carried that tradition of built to last craftsmanship into the 21st century. This type of product cannot be build overnight, or with low quality materials. That is why we use the highest quality, genuine solid wood, and built it by hand, using the age old, tried and tested method of mortise and tenon joineryIt is our belief that when you buy a solid wood door from ArtFactory.com, that is will be the last door you ever have to buy for that entrance.

Building A Family Legacy Through Heirloom Quality Doors

hand carved wood door panel with river scene

Natural and floral elements were essential to the style that became known as Craftsman. This door features an intricately detailed carved wood river scene with both positive and negative reliefs that cannot be achieved by any machine. This river scene is carved directly into the wood by the hands of one of our master wood carvers. In other words, built using the same methods and materials that Greene & Greene, Frank Lloyd Wright, or any of the great craftsmen of that era. These are high relief carvings by the hands of one of our master carvers. Carvings by one master's hands are especially relevant when qualifying a piece as fine art.

Building a family legacy has been going on since the beginning of time. Building heirloom furniture and doors intended to last forever is one of the primary ways we all have in achieving some small part of immortality. These cherished family items will touch our loved ones for many years to come through physical interactions as well as family photos . Many societies, including the Egyptians and Mayans, as well as European royalty and aristocracy have created and passed down heirlooms for thousands of years.

In fact, if it were not for these artifacts, it would be impossible to know these people ever existed, how they were important to history. This is also the case in the 21st century within your own family. No matter if it’s a simple, hope chest with your personal message or name as a gift to a loved one, or an extravagant, fine art quality, master handcrafted, custom etched glass door, these items will be important to the story of your family history long after we are gone.

This Is Not Your Ordinary Entrance Door

Our wood finishes will never crack, flake, chip, or peel off like paints and powder coats. That is because our hand rubbed stain infusion process begins with fine hand sanding, and infused open grain hand applied stains. Furthermore, additional steps add natural oils, waxes, and lacquers with curing between each step. That puts the finish into the wood, not just sprayed on. This means a finish that will stay beautiful for generations with little or no maintenance.
