All of our timber is naturally air-cured in the dry desert air. It is never force-dried in a kiln. This traditional process allows the timber to season gradually, helping preserve its natural strength, stability, grain, and character.

Our master craftsmen do not simply assemble components ordered from outside suppliers. We select and air-cure the timber, mill every structural member, create the mortise-and-tenon and doweled joinery, shape the moldings, build the panels, and apply the natural patina finish — all within our own American workshops.

The iron hardware is individually hand-forged by our master blacksmiths in the traditional manner. It is not imitation hardware that has been drop-forged, cast, stamped, or machine-made to resemble genuine hand-forged iron.

The wood is completed through a labor-intensive, multistage finishing process that penetrates and protects the timber while allowing its natural grain and individual character to remain visible. The surface is carefully hand-rubbed — not buried beneath a thick, plastic-looking coating.

As the entrance ages, the natural materials develop an even richer and more beautiful character.
