Vertical Planked Speakeasy Door: Custom Hand Forged Iron Hardware
Our artistic craftsmen can create a unique custom exterior door that reflects your personal style. This design features a raised panel with speak easy door, glass transom, and hand forged custom door hardware. As shown this exterior door is hand crafted from solid American cedar cypress wood with light to medium distress in a red oak finish. The custom door features a hand chiseled surface texture. The speak easy portal door is weather sealed and features hand forged iron hinges, slide latch interior lock, and twisted grill over the exterior - and matching transom grill. Decorative clavos in 1-inch circular design also wrought iron, hand crafted by master level blacksmiths. The door handle also handmade from patina finished iron.
The texture on this door - as shown in main photo - is created by hand chiseling, or "scooping" the wood. You may choose from several textures to add character to your door including rough sawn, hand planed, hand gorged, raised grain, smooth sanded, and a variety of other finish textures. The possibilities of this designer door style is limited only by your imagination. The artist, hand forged door pull and back plate - as shown in main photo - was created to compliment the overall theme of the entryway. The hammered surface enhances the gouged "scooped" texture of the door. The blackened iron patina finish is heat applied, wire brushed, and sealed for a virtually maintenance free finish.
