These elk hand carved front doors were designed from the customer's correspondence, which included home photos, cutouts from a puzzle taken by cell phone, and pictures from a painting they found on the internet. Our master woodcarvers created our customer's vision with finely detailed carvings showing the hair of the elk, the layers of branches of the pines, and the fur of the tiny squirrel in the corner. The carving was done in a manner to allow glass to be used in the upper portion of the doors so that the customer could have light enter their front hall. The extra wide sidelight gives the carvers plenty of room to complete the full picture. A wrought iron pine branch door pull was added as a finishing touch, creating a complete nature scene.
