Ski Lodge Theme Chandelier: Custom Wrought Iron Lighting
Working closely with a client from the Northeast, H.J. Nick designed this three light ski lodge theme chandelier specifically for the winter sports lover. This custom wrought iron lighting chandelier has been created as a tribute to winter sports around the world. The ski pole supports are made of solid iron that has been shaped on our blacksmith's anvil, and the mountain and forest silhouette is hand cut by one of our dedicated artisans. The central bar is solid iron, and supports a set of three lamps that effectively illuminate hallways, pool tables, kitchens, and many other genuine, hand laced rawhide.
This rawhide is surrounded by a solid iron frame and hand cut iron patina silhouettes of pine trees and skiers. All iron has been finished with a patina, where hand applied oxides are cured at over 1000 degrees to make a colorful finish that is a part of the metal.
