What's the first thing you think of when someone says Maine? I'm betting it's lobster. If you are a company that was founded in and is based in Maine, why not go with that theme for your retail stores? L.L. Bean is known for their great outdoor products, needed to have some door handles created for their retail center so they contacted ArtFactory.com to help them create something different, and these hand forged lobster door pulls are the result of this collaboration. It's not often we get requests for crustacean themed items, but our designers and master blacksmiths were ready for the challenge.

Once the designers finished the plans and the company approved them, our blacksmiths went to work. All of our door pulls are made by hand forging wrought iron; we never cast copy or mass produce any of our products. Each of these hand forged lobster door pulls is made by the hands of our master blacksmiths, heated and hammered until it is the correct shape. Once the pull is the correct shape, we use an advanced patina finish to add color and seal the iron, making it practically maintenance free.
