At ArtFactory.com, we master hand carved this fine basket weave French Style armoire from thick, solid, exotic cedar cypress (all wood types are available). It is built by our in-house master craftsmen using the old world method of hand hewn, mortise and tenon joined construction. This type of materials and craftsmanship allows us to build all of our custom furnishings to investment quality, and world class fine art standards. Each product is designed by accredited artist H.J. Nick, and is built to stand the test of time, and become a valuable family heirloom in antiquity. This design is inspired by the curved style and floral motif carvings that were popular during the French Baroque period, were especially popular during the era of Louis XIV , and later accentuated by the masters of the Art Nouveau movement.

The unique, symmetrical basket weave design and Louis XIV Style inspired wood carvings are the worker of our master woodworkers and carvers. All of our hand carvings are done to fine art quality, by one masters hands. We never use CNC machine, gang carving, or any other fast process. Additionally, we only use solid, natural wood, never particle board, laminates, or veneers. Fine art quality furnishings, and investment quality always begin with all natural materials. That is why when we say solid wood, we mean the genuine article.

The basket weave design French style armoire is part of a set that includes our French style hand carved king bed (CFB208). This set is also available with matching dresser, nightstands, and arm chairs.

This large, basket weave design French style armoire is designed and built in historically correct, French Baroque style using period correct materials and craftsmanship. It features three fixed shelves. The bottom section of the armoire has three roomy drawers with hand forged iron handles on full extension, easy glide tracks. Mar proof leveling feet are included.

The finish is hand rubbed using a many step open grain color infusion process. These finishes are hand rubbed, with curing times between each process. This includes multiple steps to infuse the stain colors into the grain of the wood. Additional, multiple processes of lacquer, waxes, and oils allow the finish to be part of the wood not just on the surface. This allows for by simply cleaning with oils to create a natural patina that will improve in appearance over time. We offer hundreds of different finish color choices. Unlike paint, sprays, or urethanes these finishes will not fade, flake, or chip over time. All of this adds up to a finish that will stay beautiful for generations with little or no maintenance.
