Perhaps the most important feature of the style, and what so many of the other features are based on, is the pointed arch. Most of the cathedrals and churches of that period, even if they have squared doors, have pointed archways built into the entrance façade. The ribbed vaults and flying buttresses also follow the line of a pointed arch. That facet of Gothic architecture is what this custom iron gate design was based on.

Custom Arched Gothic Style Iron Gates Design Specifics

This gothic style iron gate features a large central pointed arch with the actual gate doors and two smaller half arches flanking the doors on either side. The half arches will fasten into the walls or columns on either side of the gate. A slide bolt is found on the bottom of the gate to secure it into the ground or a bolt hole. The styling of the center arch is done in a traditional Gothic arch window fashion, with multiple lines interweaving at the top of the arch and then descending into straight equidistant lines.
