Ski Chalet Chandelier – Vintage Skis – LC668

Description

This custom chandelier features solid iron that has been shaped on our blacksmith’s anvil was used to make this clever work of original art with a skiing theme. A hand forged iron pair of old fashioned skis with leather bindings, suspended by iron ski poles wrapped with rawhide, are arranged to form a right angle triangle, which is complimented by the three pyramid shaped lighting canopies. The iron frames of the lighting canopies are hand forged as well, and are inset with a very attractive emerald green, textured glass. All iron has been finished with a patina, where hand applied oxides are cured at over 1000 degrees resulting in a finish that is permanently bonded to the metal. The patina will never fade, chip, or crack, and will only improve with age. This custom light fixture is UL listed.
