The Royal Castle of Ardenne (Chéteau Royal d'Ardenne, formerly also spelled "Hardenne") was situated in the municipality of Houyet in Belgium not far from the Royal Castle of Ciergnon. The edifice was commanded in 1874 by King Leopold II of Belgium and was built after the plans of his architect Alphonse Balat. It replaced on elder hunting lodge erected in the 1830's on the same spot by Leopold I.

Each item is finished to be virtually maintenance free and to age with grace. All steel parts are hand patina finished the old fashioned way with iron oxides, hand applied with high temperature heat. We never powder coat or faux paint our steel, it has been proven paint and powder coating methods do not hold up over time. You may choose from many natural iron oxide colors. The natural color of most of our finishes are water based and earth friendly. You may order any single color or texture finish at no extra charge.

Our Fine Art Custom Door Pulls are created from labor intensive tried and tested techniques. Each custom pull is fired by coal and anvil hammered into shape by the hands of our master blacksmiths in our American factory in Scottsdale, Arizona, USA. All of our Custom Door Handles are made from solid hand forged wrought iron with a natural patina (we never use faux paint or powder coating). Our Custom Door Hardware will arrive to you virtually maintenance free.
