1849 California Gold Rush Lanterns

The H.J Nick original design is fashioned after the lantern used by the miners during the 1849 California gold rush. Created in the same hand made traditional method. This unique chandelier is built to last. Our master blacksmiths coal fire, hand forge and anvil hammer solid iron into the sturdy complex shapes that make up this design. A natural rawhide diffuser has been used in place of glass. Standard and seeded glass is available as an option. Giving this piece its own signature theme Is warm diffused glow, the cage opens for easy bulb replacement and is crafted to give both style and support. All iron is finished with a patina where oxides are hand applied at over 1000 degrees in order to create a finish that will never fade, chip or crack.
