A Tradition of Fine Art Without Compromise

All our sculptures are created using the ancient lost-wax bronze casting process, the highest standard in fine art bronze sculpture and a method that has remained fundamentally unchanged for more than 6,000 years. We are not the cheapest but we are the very best value.

Lost-wax casting is distinguished by its precision, permanence, and originality. Each work begins as an original sculpture, refined by hand in wax, encased in a one-time ceramic shell, and cast in bronze through a process in which the wax is permanently lost. As a result, no two castings are ever identical, and no work can be reproduced mechanically.

At Foundry Michelangelo

Mark Russo and his master craftsmen continue to practice this traditional process without industrial shortcuts or mass-production methods. Every stage — from wax refinement to bronze pouring and final hand finishing — is performed using time-honored techniques reserved for museum-quality sculptures.

This commitment to authenticity, artistic integrity, and material permanence has established Foundry Michelangelo among the world’s most respected fine art foundries, with works selected by royalty, major museums, and the President of the United States for placement in the Oval Office.

This same philosophy of permanence and uncompromising craftsmanship defines the work of H. J. Nick and ArtFactory.com. While Foundry Michelangelo preserves the classical traditions of lost-wax bronze sculpture, H. J. Nick applies the same master-level discipline to architectural and functional art, producing handcrafted doors, gates, and furnishings built to endure for generations.

At ArtFactory.com, form and structure are inseparable.

Materials are chosen not for efficiency or convenience, but for longevity, structural integrity, and historical relevance. Each work is engineered and crafted as a legacy object, intended to serve both function and art without degradation over time.

Though expressed through different mediums, both traditions are guided by a shared principle:

  • True art is not created for a single era.
  • It is created to endure across generations.

Every piece produced through these methods reflects a commitment to history, craftsmanship, and permanence—values recognized by collectors, institutions, and cultural leaders worldwide.
