This 1930's era sign is significant in that it marks one of the earliest appearances of Sinclair Oil Company's trademark apatosaurus. This extremely rare, and highly sought after Sinclair Motor Oil vintage porcelain sign is a 2 sided, lollipop style, gas station curbside sign. The sign is a set on the extremely hard to find red and white background and says "SINCLAIR" in bold white lettering with a black drop shadow outline. Just below, it reads "PENNSYLVANIA MOTOR OIL" in red lettering. The lower half of the sign features a black apatosaurus dinosaur walking over a tar pit with the words "MELLOWED 100 MILLION YEARS" below the dinosaur in white lettering.
