About Immeuble Jassedé

The Jassedé building is an Art Nouveau apartment building built by the architect Hector Guimard in 1904-1905 on behalf of the developer Louis Jassedé. It is located in the 16^th  arrondissement of Paris , at 142 Avenue de Versailles and 1 rue Lancret.

The promoter Louis Jassedé had Hector Guimard build two adjoining buildings, with a common courtyard. The first, located on the avenue de Versailles, has seven floors, it was intended for a bourgeois clientele (freestone). The one on rue Lancret has five floors, it was intended for a more modest clientele (glazed light brick). A registration, by decree of July 11, 1984, protects the facades and roofs as well as the two stairwells with the entrances to the building.
